Megan Allen is a Senior Business Management Major. She is a three year staff member of the office of Residential Education and Housing, and also sits as a student representative on the board of advisors for the Career and Community Studies program. She currently has an internship with a small event planning firm, Union by Design, where she spends most of her time managing vendor relations and providing client support for various events, with a primary focus on weddings.

Upon graduation in May, Megan hopes to enter the field of Conference and Meeting services planning for a major corporation in the metropolitan area. As a former member of the TCNJ Rugby team, with an instilled love of football, she hopes to continue having time for her hobbies. Megan enjoys hiking, scrapbooking, painting, and traveling. Having spent time in Costa Rica, she hopes to continue experiencing other cultures in Europe and beyond.

Megan currently resides in Pennington, NJ with her mom, dad, and older sister - all alumni of The College of New Jersey. Her Festival of the Arts planning experience has been both challenging and rewarding - an experience that surely help her in future endeavors. She would like to thank all those in The College of New Jersey's administration for their assistance and help throughout the semester.


Vickie Cullen is a Senior Communication Studies major in the Public & Mass track, with a concentration in Health Communication. She is also a Music minor. Vickie is a member of both the Communication Honor Society-Lambda Pi Eta, and the International Golden Key Honor Society. Throughout her time at The College of New Jersey, Vickie has gained statewide and national recognition for Communication research papers on topics including National Media Coverage of Islam and International Media Coverage of the Darfur Humanitarium Crisis. She has also served as a Teaching Assistant for classes such as Communication Research Methods and International Communication.

Vickie's future aspirations lie within the fields of Public Relations and Event Planning. Her internship experience in the Public Relations field has led her to obtaining a full-time job upon her graduation in May. While being a member of the TCNJ Chorale and Concert Band (trumpet), she hopes to continue keeping music a part of her life. In addition to her job in the Public Relations field, Vickie hopes to continue working part time as a Algebra /Geometry/ Trigonometry tutor, and a Wedding singer - both jobs which she has held since 2004.


She currently resides in Somerville, NJ with her parents, brother and three sisters. She loves being a part of a big family, and especially enjoys taking family vacations. She has enjoyed being a part of the Festival of the Arts 2008 Event Planning Team and looks forward to returning to the college as an alumni for the Festival of the Arts 2009!


Lindsay Piccollela is a Senior Communication Studies Major in the Public and Mass track. She holds her Associates Degree in Humanities and Social Science from Mercer County Community College. Currently, Lindsay interns at the Carrier Clinic in Belle Meade New Jersey, working in the grant development department. In her internship, she spends much of her time reaching out to large local corporate sponsors for community program support. Lindsay also holds a full time job managing a private dental office in Hamilton.

Upon her graduation in May, Lindsay hopes to spend some time traveling to Italy, utilizing her mastery of the Italian language, as learned in her classes at TCNJ. She hopes to eventually work in the healthcare field, however she has recently considered a career in event planning as well. She has also considered settling her life in the Mid-West.

In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her boyfriend of seven years, watercolor painting, and cooking. She is an avid Yankee fan and makes sure to attend at least one game per season.

Lindsay currently resides in Hamilton, NJ with her parents and younger brother. She would like to thank all those involved in the planning of the first annual Festival of the Arts. Her experience with the faculty, administration and students reaffirmed all of the reasons why she loves The College of New Jersey.

Jacqueline Akyuz is a Senior Communication Studies major in the Public and Mass track. Her previous experience includes an impressive internship with MedAvante, a pharmaceutical services organization whose commitment and passion is to improve the science of psychiatric drug trials. During her time at MedAvante, Jacqueline has spent much time creating and executing surveys, creating spreadsheets to track initiations and scheduling, and video editing. Her internship has complimented her classroom studies at TCNJ very nicely, giving her practical application of learned knowledge.

During her time at The College of New Jersey, Jacqueline has accumulated and explored a wide variety of interests, including photography, web/graphic design, public relations and event planning. Her creativity, artistry and talent makes itself apparent in each one of her photographs, or artistic projects. Her ability to speak through art has become extremely refined.

Upon her graduation in May, Jacqueline hopes to obtain a position that incorporates all of her interests, and skills that she has learned during her time at TCNJ. While she has not pinpointed one exact field in which she would like to work, she knows that there are many areas in which she'd like to try.

Jacqueline currently resides in her newly purchased house in Bordentown, NJ, with her husband and two children. Being a part of the Festival of the Arts event planning team has made her last semester at TCNJ a memorable one. She would like to thank all those who made the event possible, and wishes much success for all future Festivals of the Arts!
